I'm here to create with purpose, honor cultura, and build platforms that amplify real stories. Whether I'm designing resources, curating voices, or consulting with changemakers, my work is always rooted in identity, equity, and action.
Meet Linda
Hi, I’m Linda Ramirez,
Founder & CEO of Chingona Creative.
I’m a Tejana creative, strategist, and storyteller with over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, and culture-rooted consulting. I founded Chingona Creative as a space to support changemakers, creatives, and mission-driven organizations with strategy, storytelling, and tools that center culture, equity, and impact.
I do this work because I’ve seen how powerful it is when our stories are not only told — but valued. I believe that community work, like culture, should be rooted in lived experience, dignity, and voice. Too often, Latinas, working-class communities, and people of color are left out of the decision-making and narrative-building. My work is about changing that — with intention, action, and corazón.
My journey began in 2001, working with HUD housing programs for seniors and eventually launching food access initiatives, mentoring youth, building coalitions, and leading public storytelling projects. Along the way, I’ve helped thousands connect to critical resources like SSI, SNAP, and Medicaid — always with advocacy and humanity at the center.
Grounded in Community & Culture
I’m proud of my roots in West Dallas and Oak Cliff, and I carry with me the legacy of my family’s hard work and sacrifice. I’m a proud Dallas College alumna and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas — a creative foundation that continues to guide my work across strategy, design, and community engagement.
I currently serve as:
Executive Director of Dallas Legacy Mission
Founder & President of The Last Patrol
Founder of Las Primas
Secretary & Co-Founder of The Mexican American Museum of Texas (TMAMT)
Creator of the Dallas Legacy Mission Coalition of Hispanic Nonprofits of North Texas
Founder & Secretary of Pancho Clause of Texas
Director of Community Engagement, Masterpiece Relief for the Blind
President of the Dallas Women’s American GI Forum
Member of DFW Hispanic 100 (Class of 2025)
Member of HWNT – Dallas Chapter
Committee Member for HACE Cinco de Mayo and HOGAR de Dallas
Member of Grand Prairie Optimist Club and Hispanic Organization for Genealogy and Research
The Heart of the Work
In every role I hold, I’m committed to creating space for culture, voice, and visibility — especially for Latinas, veterans, women, and underserved communities.
I also created Letters from a Chingona y Chingón — a storytelling initiative dedicated to preserving the voices and histories of our gente. Through letters, exhibits, and cultural programming, this project uplifts stories that are often left out of the mainstream narrative.
Whether I’m mentoring emerging leaders, facilitating strategy sessions, or building tools for nonprofits & businesses, I lead with corazón and cultura. This platform is here to share, reflect, build, and honor where we come from — and where we’re going.
Thanks for being here. There’s a place for you in this story, too.
